THE EXPLORERS' TRAIL
1.5 HOURS
$35
For dogs who are ready to venture a little further… The Explorers’ Trail is a longer, more adventurous outing, designed for dogs who enjoy movement, variety, and a sense of purpose in their walk. In 1.5 hours, we explore a mix of bush tracks, open spaces, and natural terrain, giving dogs the opportunity to walk, climb, sniff, and experience the world in a more dynamic way. Dogs are carefully grouped with others of a similar energy level and temperament, ensuring the experience remains balanced and enjoyable for everyone.

While this trail offers more physical exercise than the Sniffari, it still honours what dogs need most — balance. We keep a steady, flowing pace, but always allow time for sniffing and exploring, pauses to take in the environment as I try to vary the walks and do a different location each time. Dogs will benefit from both physical and mental stimulation, we often do a mix of off-leash and on depending who is in the group.
Where suitable, we make use of quiet trails away from busy roads and people. We make used of open natural spaces for more freedom of movement. I have access to private properties where dogs can safely enjoy off-lead time and each location is chosen with care to provide both safety and adventure.
Every trail is a little different; one day it might be winding through eucalyptus-lined paths, another through open clearings with room to roam. There are new scents, new sights, and always something waiting just around the bend, even swamps! Many of the dogs absolutely love a paddle now and then! Just be aware, as we live in the Adelaide Hills, adventure can be messy. I allow your dog to be dogs, and that means wet fur and muddy paws, your dog will come home tired, but I can't guarantee they will be squeaky clean!

The bush is full of wonderful things to discover; but to keep every adventure safe and enjoyable, all dogs stay on lead during bush walks, unless your dog has perfect recall. This protects our four-legged explorers as well as the wildlife we share our homes with.
After their adventure, dogs return home; physically exercised, mentally fulfilled, content and ready to rest (The kind of tired that comes from doing what they were built to do).
